Now Sorted. Thank you to all who responded! Wanted - Travel Cot

Recommended Posts

Hello there,

We have a Winnie the Pooh themed travel cot that we are selling, with weighted flat mattress base and also a very good quality breathable mattress to go with it. Unfortunately our little one can now climb out of it, so we have had to retire it from use!

Please let me know if you are interested.

Congratulations by the way ;-)

Hi, thank you for your response. Could you tell me the make of the travel cot and whether it has attachable wheels and a storage box/bag?. If possible a photograph would be most helpful, (guess you can tell we have been given our remit)!

Also how much are you wanting for it?

Many thanks

Fran

Hello,

Here are links to the an almost identical travel cot, purchased from Toysrus at Sydenham. Ours is a different colour, with the Winnie the Pooh picture across the mesh. We paid around ?70 at the time for the cot and about ?85 for the mattress. Ours comes with a bag & wheels yes. We can happily give you a quick demo of how it pops up and more importantly back into the bag.

If you could send me your email address I will send you a picture of the one we have which has been mostly used for storing soft toys......

Please let me know if there is anything else you would like to know, got no idea what to charge really, but maybe ?60 for both the cot and mattress? I will throw in a fitted sheet for the mattress too.Hope that is okay?

No problem at all, we are in the midst of a pretty major clear out of things our little has outgrown, so if you are looking for any of the following please let me know, would be more than happy to "bundle" items together as we need the space!

-Moses Basket

-Baby gym x 2

-Musical/vibrating bouncer

-Wooden snail rocker

-Wooden baby walker

-V-tech lights/sounds/phonics walker with phone

-V-tech crawl ball

-Also got huge bundles of clothing ranging from newborn to 2 years

-Grobags

-Gro swaddles

-Muslins x 12

There's probably more to add.... all in excellent condition, mostly had very little or no use.

    • But all those examples sell a wide variety of things,  and mostly they are well spread out along Lordship Lane. These two shops both sell one very specific thing, albeit in different flavours, and are just across the road from each other. I don't think you can compare the distribution of shops in Roman times to the distribution of shops in Lordship Lane in the twenty first century. Well, you can, but it doesn't feel very appropriate. Haa anybody asked the first shop how they feel? Are they happy about the "healthy competition" ?
    • ED is included in the 17 August closure set (or just possibly 15 August, depending on which part of the page you trust more) listed at https://metro.co.uk/2025/07/25/full-list-25-poundland-stores-confirmed-close-august-23753048/. Here incidentally are some snippets from their annual reports, at https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/02495645/filing-history. 2022: " during the period we opened 41 stores and closed 43 loss-making/under-performing stores.  At the period-end we were trading from 821 stores in the UK, IoM and ROI. ... "We renogotiated 82 leases in the year, saving on average 45% versus the prior lease agreement..." 2023: "We also continued to improve our market footprint through sourcing better store locations, opening 53 and closing 51 stores during the year." 2024:  "The ex-Wilco stores acquired in the prior year have formed a core part of this strategy to expand our store network.  We favour quality over quantity and during the period we opened 84 stores and closed 71 loss-making/under-performing ones."
    • Ha! After I posted this, I thought of lots more examples. Screwfix and the hardware store? Mrs Robinson and Jumping Bean? Chemists, plant shops, hairdressers...  the list goes on... it's good to have healthy competition  Ooooh! Two cheese shops
    • You've got a point.  Thinking Leyland and Screwfix too but this felt different.
