Looking for an au pair to start June/July

Recommended Posts

We are looking for another friendly, enthusiastic and helpful au pair, to join us in late July/start of July, ideally for a year. To help with two little boys, aged 3 and 18 months, who are at nursery two days a week. I am a freelance journalist and work from home.

Some light cooking and cleaning duties/folding laundry etc required. Our current au pair works between 30-35-hours per week in exchange for ?100 pocket money and financial help with her language course. In return, a quiet bedroom in a nice house in Herne Hill (zone 2), lots of cafes/bars and park close by (good for dog walks - we have a small dog). Our previous au pairs have been very happy here and can provide references!

    • Funnily enough I came here to ask for a jeweller recommendation too. How can we get hold of Isabelle Capitain? Is no.7 a shop?
    • Just had a fine lunch at Franklins and can confirm that it's soon to be sold and will have a minor refurbishment before reopening, probably as The Victory, which was its original name, I think.
    • The https://www.carcheck.co.uk/  history service is free, which is just as well given that it's freely available from DVSA* at https://www.gov.uk/transport/mots.  Carcheck do provide some additional general info as well, and have even beaten DVSA to getting the 2027 MOT record up. There is a .car top-level domain  (just as this forum's top-level domain is .uk)  but any mention of gov anywhere before it -- like  mot.records.gov.car --  would suggest it's owned by someone who wants to fool users into believing that it's an official government website, which it isn't.  It doesn't end  in gov.uk * There's also a link from a DVLA Tax/MOT check results page
