info@linkagesouthwar
Are you passionate about helping older people stay independent and reduce social isolation? Do you have weekday daytime availability? E.g. 2-3 hours either weekly or fortnightly.Link Age Southwark offers friendly volunteer support to older people in Southwark, to combat loneliness and isolation through befriending and social groups. We particularly need help running our social groups in Southwark, particularly in Dulwich, Peckham and Camberwell. We need volunteers to help set up for groups (tables, chairs), prepare and serve refreshments, welcome and talk to people in the group and tidy away at the end. We would also love to hear from anyone wanting to share a skill at a group, e.g. arts and crafts, reminiscence, singing, knitting and so on.For a list of our 20+ social groups, please see - http://linkagesouthwark.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Full-List-of-Link-Age-Southwark-Groups.pdfIf you would like more information or an application pack, please email [email protected] or phone 0208 299 2623.
