INTERVIEWING NOW: Enthusiastic nanny for two boys 6m and 9m in E.Dulwich - live out

Recommended Posts

Two friendly and very like-minded mums are seeking a nanny for their lively boys of 6 and 9 months in East Dulwich.

The right candidate will need to be energetic and creative with a genuine passion for their job: as happy playing with the kids in the park as they are organising inventive sensory play sessions at home and helping them navigate their first words. Organisation is key and you will also need to be confident with mid-size dogs as we have a bouncy, furry member of the family.

Good grasp of spoken English and relevant qualifications and checks will be required. While some experience is nessessary, top of our list is finding someone who can really engage with our little people.

Hours are Monday to Thursday 7.30 / 8 to 7.30 pm and you'll be located at one house (so no to'ing and fro'ing). From September sole care for one of the boys will also be required for 6 hours on Fridays so candidates will need to be able to ultimately commit to the full week.

*Based at single house with dedicated playroom and garden (so no to'ing and fro'ing).

*Five mins walk from Peckham Rye Common, Bellenden Road and Lordship Lane

*Hours will be Monday to Thursday 7.30 to 7.30 preferably starting in April. We have built in 'fudge factor' time so 7.30 pm would be latest you'd ever leave. The second child arrives at 8/8.30 and is picked up between 6/6.30 allowing you time to wind up for the day and wind things down as well as a proper handover with each parent

*From September sole care of one boy for 6 hours (with some flexibility on timings to be discussed with candidate).

*The ideal start-date will be April: we both return to work in May so that gives us time to work with our chosen nanny to establish a routine beforehand. This will also allow for a transition period for everyone.

*Candidates will need to be dog lovers - no dog walking is required but dog will need to be fed and let into the garden regularly during the day and is considered a furry part of the family!

*Role will include (light) children's laundry, healthy home cooked meals for the kids and preparation of a weekly menu in advance so food can be ordered

*Clean driving license required (use of own car preferable) - there is free on street parking at house

*Small monthly kitty will be provided for children's activities

*Initially we will schedule weekly (moving to monthly) catch ups with nanny with both parents present as we believe great communication is vital.

*As recommended by nanny tax we'll be paying gross salary and Ofstead reg preferable for childcare vouchers

Please PM and I'll send you my email for CVs

    • It's taken time to see the legacy of Thatcher's free market policy but we're really seeing it now with utilities, housing and infrastructure 😢.  I think I've remembered correctly that on Dirty Business they said we are the only country in the world to have our water supply totally privately owned.   When it gets taken back into public ownership the private owners will rub their hands together with glee having withdrawn massive profits and bonuses over the last 30 + years, let the infrastructure go to pot and now have the taxpayer come back in after this long period of neglect and pay for the failing systems to be rebuilt.  If you think those companies will suffer at the hands of government then you have more faith than I.  Thatcherism has a lot to answer for ☹️
    • what's scandalous is our government allowing it. The should and can impose fines and order works which would lead to TW becoming bankrupt, at which point it can be taken back into the public domain.
    • The privatisation of water is just ridiculous. I have the Safer seas and rivers service app on my phone (recommend it if you like to swim outside) and the regular (weekly) sewage dumps highlighted all along the south coast is just outrageous.
    • That's a disgusting slur against an innocent driver who was probably just on their way to drop off freshly-baked muffins at an orphanage when they had to swerve out of the way of a so-called "cyclist", and anyway traffic lights are just a Marxist conspiracy by Southwark Council to slow traffic down and force people out of cars, so we're all better off without it.
