womanofdulwich
I waited until after 9.30 this morning to get a train from Herne Hill to victoria, only to be told there are no "off peak" faees from herne hill to victoria. It is ?4.30 at all times. Yet a 1 day off peak 1-2 travelcard is ?5.60. This seems a strange pricing structure to me. Is it the same from all zone 2 stations? ianr
That's the National Rail Anytime day return fare using a paper ticket. The singles would have been ?2.40 each. NR off-peak is no longer available in London now you can use Oystercards. The structure encourages the use of Oyster PAYG, which would be ?1.70 each way off-peak. http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tickets/14414.aspx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14517-no-off-peak-fares-from-herne-hill/#findComment-386612 Share on other sites
