Private Tutor

I am a qualified teacher and head of the humanities department in a local school with 8 years experience in education.I trained as a teacher through the Teach First programme in 2011. I can offer tuition in a broad range of subjects to a broad range of ages. My principal specialism is teaching history (BA Honours, 2:1 Manchester 2005), but I can also offer government and politics to A-Level, mathematics (my teacher training specialism) to GCSE, as well as English, drama, creative writing, religious studies and the 11+.

    • We got some good quality items at the children’s Christopher’s by the Goose Green roundabout. 
    • She also suggested that the 2017 Manchester terror attack (perpetrated by an Islamist extremist) was due to "divisiveness" and tried to pin the blame on the far right. Grim, really. 
    • Thankfully, it seems that yesterday's "Red vs Blue" school wars thing has turned out to be a hoax/ nonsense/ whatever. (See link below if you managed to avoid this stuff). In years to come, we might found out who - or which countries - has an interest in testing what happens when you post socially disruptive content online about fake events... In the meantime, thank you to our local teachers and other school workers, police community support officers and police officers. My commute happens to take me past a bunch of schools at dropoff/pickup times, and I noticed a much greater and more visible presence on streets outside/near schools than normal.
