MOTHERBRUNCH family event - Monday 3rd April: Nunhead Community Centre (11.00am - 1.00pm)

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

We are two mothers in South East London brought together by food, events and motherhood. We plan on running community brunch time events and creative moments for local families.

From workshops with artists and illustrators, to screenings and yoga, all combined with delicious healthy feasting spreads, everyone is welcome.

Any profit made from full price events go towards supporting our pay-what-you-can-afford free for all feasts, making our events open and accessible to ALL.

With no soggy bananas and nursery rhymes in sight, we'd love to invite you to our first event as we trial MOTHERBRUNCH in the heart of Nunhead.

As this is a test event, tickets will be on a donation basis (suggested donation: ?10) to include:

A feasting brunch/lunch spread (menu to be announced shortly) for both you and the little one, including weaning friendly options and space to sit if you?re breast/bottle feeding. Eat until the food runs out!

A place to sit, chill, run riot, and meet new folks, with accessible toilet facilities, space for your pram, and no stairs to lug up your toddler/scooters/bags/babies/various memorabilia etc.

From toddler yoga to a drop in workshop with an artist...things to get involved in if you wish, or to watch from afar if you?d rather not, the choice is yours - no pressure!

All our events are open to anyone with kids. Come on your own, or with a pal, we?re friendly and would love to meet you :) bear with us while we test the ground and see what works/what doesn?t. Feedback after the event more than welcome!

    • Prices at WHS are ridiculous. I thought £4.80 was for the price of a meal deal when I went to buy a small bottle of orange juice. I was wrong.
    • We went to Love Dulwich a couple of times last summer and found food good. We have a family meal anticipated on a Friday evening in February - adult who needs gluten free food, plus a couple of vegetarians. and 2 children under 12  one who cannot eat dairy produce. Any suggestions for a restaurant?   we have done Maria's in the past. Ideally in ED on a bus route   and where we can reserve tables. Possibly will be 9/10 of us. Also 2 of us use walking aids so limited steps plus a disabled toilet.  Would also consider Peckham.
