Focus LDN

Presents

A SPOTLIGHT EXHIBITION

30th March ? 11th April @ Jeannie Avent Gallery

Featuring the works of three emerging British artists:

Brad Kenny, Dean Rossiter & Tom Cox.

All bringing an entirely different approach to contemporary painting, these select artists are starting to turn heads in London?s art scene. Their unique vision, drive and swift progression is a testament to their passion, and being so young this is an exhibition not to be missed!

Brad Kenny

Kenny?s artwork offers the viewer a fresh take on figurative painting and portraiture. His big bold brush strokes, unique angular mark marking and energetic pallet are implemented with confidence, and serve well to express the subtleties of his subjects.

With the public loving his capacity to express emotion through the human form, he was one of Focus LDN?s best sellers in the Winter Exhibition, 2016.

Dean Rossiter

Rossiter?s artworks are developed through rigorous experimentation with various binders and chemicals, this has led to paintings which are expressive of their constituent parts and serve to demonstrate the spontaneity of his process. His powerful backgrounds provide the perfect spring board for his trademark splash, which articulates the natural sensuality of both paint and form.

Only two years since graduation, he is already represented by galleries in Shanghai and Madrid, and is frequently sought out for corporate commissions.

Tom Cox

Cox?s artwork seeks to capture London?s ever changing urban landscape. He indulges the viewer with paintings which explore all the progressions and nuances of modern city life. He uses a unique combination of Indian ink and oil paint to develop his canvas, whilst retaining a loose, free style to his mark making.

Cox was recently featured in the Evening Standard as a ?young British artist to look out for in 2017? and the demand and value of his paintings has been steadily increasing for the past three years.

    • Leon from Electrical Initiative attended my property to replace two bathroom extractor fans and a light fitting last month. Communication was good before the visit and he arrived on time, then completed the job to a good standard. Would happily use his services again. Thanks.
    • Do mobile phone users have any reception problems in that part of LL? PS There's a BT brochure about them at https://planning.southwark.gov.uk/online-applications/files/9C2ACB97B33D4EE9E2D88FF630639C14/pdf/25_AP_2825-STREET_HUBS_BEYOND_CONNECTION_V2.1-4143500.pdf From which: "Street Hubs are free-standing structures featuring digital HD display screens on two sides. The screens display content at 10-second intervals, both the commercial content that funds the service as well as a wide range of local community and council content." and "Advertising for businesses of all sizes Street Hubs represent the latest in advertising platforms – an affordable, accessible digital advertising solution that specifically targets Street Hubs close to small businesses." I think if I saw one of the local businesses flashing their ads at me while out peaceably walking in my neighbourhood I'd almost certainly be put off using them.
    • Pointless unless Southwark will make money from this being erected.  If that’s the case, it will be allowed.
    • Yes, there's no way anyone would want a Wi-Fi hub in Lordship Lane. Absolutely pointless. Anyone who actually wants or needs to communicate or access data will already have their 5G phone or satellite phone on them to get fast data. And of course we are lucky that we have such a strong and unbroken mobile signal from all suppliers locally. With no dead spots.
