Nanny required for afternoon pick ups 3 days a week

Recommended Posts

Hello

I am urgently looking for a Nanny to look after my two little boys post school and Nursery. The ideal candidate will be available from the end of April.

I will be returning to work on 9th May, working Monday - Wednesdays and need someone from 3pm-6.30pm on these days.Ideally they'd have the flexibility to do the odd morning drop off should we need this due to work commitments.

We are based on Bellenden Road with school and nursery in easy walking distance. I am keen for the boys to be in their home environment rather than after school clubs.

You will be friendly, empathetic, patient and fun and have all the relevant qualifications necessary. The boys are sweet, lovely and mostly good!

Please do get in touch with me via email.

Look forward to hearing from you

Hi,

My name is Sam. I'm 24 years old and have 5/6 years experience in Child Care. I was a kid's party hostess for 5 years with an organization called Project PlayDate. I tutored at a performing arts camp for 4 summers in a row, teaching drama to kids ages 6-16. I've produced and directed a professional children's play. I took care of a 3MTH old and 2 year old (sisters) for a year, until they were 1YR and 3YRS respectively. I've babysat occasionally for several families, with the ages of kids ranging from 2MTHS old - 9YRS old. These references are available on demand! Can you tell me what "relevant qualifications" I need to have to be considered? Thank you.

Look forward to hearing from you!

    • I am  ill in bed with Covid. It's not that I "can't be bothered" to read things. I am feeling crap and don't have the energy at the moment. I am not "brushing stuff aside and pleading ignorance." I am truthfully saying when I don't presently know enough about something to comment. I have always been very careful to try to  differentiate between fact and opinion in my posts, and I am not clear what your point is. And I am certainly not trying to wind anybody up. This is a forum. If you don't want to respond to my posts, that's up to you. I'm not sure why you feel the need to announce it.
    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
