Number plates made up

Having never previously had to have any made - does anyone know where you can get a set of number plates made up 'while you wait' (and an idea of the cost - if you happen to know would be great to)?

Halfords on Old Kent Road do them while you wait!

East Dulwich Road on the corner just passed costcutters before you get to Tesco Express. I think about ?15 for each plate. I think it is called Motor Economy car assessories and parts.

I think you also need to provide some kind of prove these days that you own the vehicle, might want to call first to check.
