Garden table and benches built from up-cycled pallets

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I built this table and bench set for a friend last weekend and would love to build some more. It sits 6-8 people comfortably with room for a couple more seats at either end. I will come and build it in your garden and it will only take me a day. 100 percent made from reclaimed pallets (apart from the screws of course) that I gathered myself from the streets of South East London.

For this one I charged ?250 - all inclusive.

I can build anything at any size just send me an email to [email protected]

Hi Pam,

Pallet wood is usually treated with fungicide which means it lasts for quite a while before being susceptible to rot. I've had some benches on my terrace for 2 years and they still look good as new. That said - I'm happy to oil, varnish or paint anything for peace of mind.

    • I give away a lot of cuttings but always short of the above, any ideas please?
    • Ash tree branch. Before speculating as to cause and whether it was deliberate or not, it’s worth remembering that there is ash dieback around. Also tree branches fall off without warning, especially if there’s internal rot or disease which is not outwardly apparent. And yes, there are regular checks done on the health of the trees in the Wood.
    • Dulwich folk well particularly ED folk have more money than certainly me - £4.00 for bread and butter? That is outrageous and I certainly would not pay £30 for an organic chicken - weird one is pate and runner beans combo. Don’t think butcher on Lordship Lane charges that but each to their own - live in Devon now and no way is an organic chicken that price!!
    • I was sitting on the park bench yesterday opposite north Dulwich station and found an Apple Watch hanging off the corner. I have brought it home and charged it hoping that someone might use ‘find my’ to locate it. Equally happy to be contacted this way to return it to the rightful lender / they just need to say what colour/kind of strap it has. If you can think of a better way to return it / find its owner then please advise. And/or feel free to share on other local fora.
