Looking for afterschool help 2-3 days a week (maybe more)

Recommended Posts

Hi, we're a friendly Herne Hill family with an 8 year old daughter (Y4) and an almost 6 year old son (Y1) and we're looking for some after school childcare on Tuesdays and Thursdays - could do a third day on Weds or Fri.

Start date in the next month, ideally a driver as one child attends school a 10 min drive away (could also use bus/scooter/bike)

If you need longer hours, could build in some morning school runs and school time household help eg cooking for the freezer/kids' laundry.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

My name is Sam. I'm 24 years old and have 6 years experience in Child Care. I was a kid's party hostess for 5 years with an organization called Project PlayDate. I tutored at a performing arts camp for 4 summers in a row, teaching drama to kids ages 6-16. I've produced and directed a professional children's play. I took care of a 3MTH old and 2 year old (sisters) for a year, until they were 1YR and 3YRS respectively. I've babysat occasionally for several families, with the ages of kids ranging from 2MTHS old - 9YRS old (NY, Barbados and London). I am interested in this job and would love some more information. What are the hours exactly? What is your pay rate? And, are there any specific requirements that must be met to be considered? Thanks a lot!

Look forward to hearing from you!

Sam

    • Maggie Browning a DH councillor recently had a baby and I believe plans to return to work. I think that to have the additional stress of  being a councillor, a new mother and having a job is a good reason for not standing again. Maggie was one of the few labour councillors who were approachable, acted on your behalf in regards to several concerns and appeared at various public events i.e Police SNT Meetings, community events etc. Have met one of the new prospective councillors and introduced her to various community based organisations.
    • Hello, I’m currently looking to buy Jellycat soft toys and LEGO sets for my children. If you have any available for sale, please feel free to message me. Thank you!
    • Useful link, thanks. I see that neither of the Dulwich Hill councillors are standing again but one of the new Labour candidates for DH recently left the Lib Dems… The Greens are led by someone who left the Lib Dems and full of people who left Labour. Reform is full of those who left the Tories. And the Tories are full of those who left our planet some time ago. Confused? You will be!
    • I'm sorry to learn that though Liam does seems well qualified. Hopefully with McAsh gone, Southwark Labour will turn to Charlie to fill the gap.
