Early morning sawing..possible theft?

At around 3.40am couldn't sleep heard what sounded like sawing. I thought nobody could be sawing in their house at that time. Only realized today after a neighbor heard the same ting. .I believe someone was sawing a chain or something g. Be vigilant theives think that you are in your deep sleep and maybe trying to steal your bike or something. Make sure you park under a light or can see your bike.

Concerned citizen in ED.

      Actually, if it was factory fitted then it's location would be documented. It's the fact that it can be fitted in different places which means that it's difficult for thieves to locate.

      OK, good suggestion and it appears that the after-market price is about £260. But if that that was fitted ex-factory then the cost would be substantially less and certainly a small fraction of the price of a high-end car.

      Another here singing Leon's praises. Fitted me in at the last minute on Monday 22 Dec and cheerfully did a fiddly and dusty ( under old floor with antique debris) job. Very reasonable charge.  Great guy .
