Alan Glen is best known for his work with The Yardbirds, Nine Below Zero, Little Axe, and his own band The Barcodes.

Dave Peabody has been voted ?Acoustic Blues Artist of the Year? 3 times by the British Blues Connection and Blues In Britain magazine. He?s also been a guitar accompanist for such U.S. blues artists as legendary Mississippi guitarist David ?Honeyboy? Edwards.

Simon Prager has been involved in the British blues scene since the ?60s. He played occasionally with the late JoAnn Kelly and accompanied Sonny Terry when half of that legendary duo, Brownie McGhee, became ill. Now he performs solo and in various other combinations, tonight as part of a duo with Kevin ?Doc? Stenson.

?Doc? Stenson sings and plays guitar, blues, country and Celtic harmonica. He played in the folk blues and R?n?B circuits with his own bands for a long time.

Tall and thin, as pale as a sheet of A4, Robert Chaney is not the kind of person you imagine hailing from sunny South Florida. But Florida is a place of contradictions. It is a land of technicolour sunsets and torrential storms. Of glittering skyscrapers and sun-rotted bungalows. Of Disney World and designer drugs. And so perhaps it is really no surprise that Chaney can come from a place like Florida and make his kind of music - bitter, skeletal ballads played on rickety guitars and buzzing amplifiers. They are songs woven from tabloid headlines, crimes, and love affairs. Stretched within their warp are threads of the dusty shellac blues of the 20s and 30s, the hyper-violent pulp noir of the 40s, the cable-knit folk revival of the 50s, and the French celluloid new wave of the 60s.

    • I'd try the Dulwich Village or "North Dulwich Triangle" forums for more local knowledge but I don't think those areas compare to Abeville Road at all. It will be quite a different lifestyle.
    • Yes, Dulwich Village commands a premium and justifiably so given access to the City via London Bridge plus the top rate schools within walking distance.  The bus services are really good also - 37, 42 and P4. The P4 is useful for connecting to the Victoria line at Brixton. It's worthwhile waiting for the right property. I know of one which will be coming on the market in a few weeks - 4 bedrooms and south facing garden circa £2.5m.
    • This is an utterly foolish and alarmist statement, completely at odds with reality.
    • I realise this is highly unlikely, but if anyone has a colour laser printer in very good working order, I'd be delighted to take it off your hands!
