May Half-Term Sewing Workshop for Kids Wed, May 31 2-4pm @ Punk Me Up Cafe

Recommended Posts

Have crafty kids who love to sew or want to learn?

This 2-hour workshop is all about learning sewing machine basics in a small-group environment. We'll cover how to thread a machine, master our straight lines and go on to make a simple zipper bag that can be used to stash all sorts of things from sleepover stuff to pencils and more.

Everyone will get some 1-on-1 time to use the machine. It's recommended that kids have some hand-sewing experience before this workshop. If they know how to sew a running stitch and thread a needle, they'll be just fine! Any spare time at the end will be used to make some fabulous pom-pom zipper pulls!

For ages 7+ / ?24 each

Wednesday, May 31st, 2-4pm

All materials are provided. This workshop takes place at Punk Me Up Cafe, which is located at 34 E Dulwich Road SE22 9AX.

Tickets can be booked here: http://www.thesewcialcircle.com/shop/may-half-term-sewing-school-may-31

    • The programme was brilliant and makes me wary now of sea paddling as so many areas affected. My daughter was working at a bank when privatisation of utility companies were floated. Bank advised its staff that only x number of shares could be purchased by individuals as Government rules at that time. She reported that certain people were seeking double and triple shares. Bank told her to ignore the guidelines as those customers had thousands of pounds in the bank. She was so disgusted at the banks attitude she handed in her notice, She decided that the financial world was too corrupt. Two degrees later - she now works in the NHS as an OT in mental health unit.

    • Petition Urge Israeli Government to stop law allowing execution of Palestinian prisoners The UK Government must act urgently to urge the Israeli Government to stop the proposed law which would permit the execution of Palestinian Prisoners, past, present and future. More details We believe that such a law would constitute complete violation of the Geneva Convention and International Human Rights Law. UN experts have called for these proposals to be dropped. We call on the UK Government apply considerable and substantial political pressure and the leverage of its international obligations to prevent the Israeli Government from passing this law.
