when does my child start school?

My son was born in Feb 2007,does anyone know when he should start pre-school or primary school? I'm totally confused here.I'm thinking of putting his name down at the dog kennel hill primary school, do they have a long waiting list?

He is due to start primary school this coming September (the term after he turns 4).

Primary school admissions are done via an application process - which for this September's intake closed earlier this week. I'm not sure what the procedure is to submit a late application, hopefully someone else will be able to advise, or perhaps contact Southwark Council.

Yes, closing date has past but be sure to ring the phone number on the right hand side of this web page here to find out what to do next. At the same time, if you are not aware of how the system works in the UK, I would ask them for advice on how to select schools for your shortlist.
