spadetowngirl has a birthday coming up soon and is doing my head in to buy her a kettlebell or bells but they,re not the cheapest piece of equipment to buy for what will more than likely end up under the stairs after a few months. i have checked out a few sites for reports on their effectiveness, but has anyone on the site a)heard of them and b)if so used them, because until the missus approached me about them i was pretty much in the dark.

I have Captains of Crush grippers and they are good.

Kettlebells are old school weight training but will improve grip strength as well as arm/shoulder. By giving big lifts your trunk strength or related strength will increase too. They have been popularised by that Russian as that is all he had then.

If you live in an upstairs flat you will not be popular below.

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
    • Reeves says she's in charge and no no's Rayners plan, what happens now?
