Cycle coaching in Dulwich!

Dear East Dulwich Forum Readers!

Are you fairly new to road cycling and you want to improve your technique on the bike? Have you signed up for your first cyclo-sportive such as the Prudential Ride 100 and need to hone your skills?

I'm a National Standards cycling instructor and newly qualified British Cycling Level 2 Coach. I will be offering holistic sport-based cycle coaching to small groups this summer. The training will be for adults only and will be delivered as a package of 3 sessions, covering topics such as advanced cornering technique and riding in close proximity with others. My training, which is both fun and challenging, will take place in Dulwich and within the grounds of the inspirational and historic Herne Hill Velodrome!

My first 3-part coaching package will start on Sunday 2nd July and will run for 3 consecutive weeks. In addition to the training sessions, those who sign up will also receive coaching bulletins, be invited to stunning Kent & Surrey rides, and will receive complementary advice on strategies for riding in heavy traffic and on complex junctions.

If you are interested and want to find out more then please contact me at [email protected] or on 07870576968.

Best wishes and Happy Cycling!

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!

    • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
