Wanted Saxophone

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a saxaphone that we could either borrow, rent or buy for a beginner to see how he takes to it please?

My son plays clarinet already and is very keen to start sax lessons but we don't want to invest in an instrument until we see how he gets on. He'll be starting lessons in September but i thought I'd put an early post up.

Failing that - can anyone recommend somewhere that loans instruments please.

Thank you

    • Thanks smith, appreciate the offer. I think I need to buy one I'll try and get a Blu-ray cheaply off eBay.. but if you want rid let me know!
    • That explanation sounds highly unlikely!  Surely the "days of the week" plates must be a standard size. I know Royal Mail often appears incompetent, but it  couldn't be that stupid, surely. Was it 1 April?!

    • Southwark's recycling guidance says to put shredded paper in the blue bin in a paper envelope or "small box". I've got far too much of it for that  (confidential stuff going back decades) - thanks to the EDF member who kindly gave me a shredder! It would be a "massive box". I have barely started  the shredding, and I've already got an extremely large bagful.   I've read online that you can put it into  large clear plastic bags in the bin for paper,  provided you  clearly label it "shredded paper" and it is obvious what it is. Does anybody know if Southwark would accept it like that? Alternatively, can anyone make use of it for animal bedding or packaging material or adding to  compost?
