littlepanda
Has anyone had any problems with their gas supply around the Goose Green/Worlingham Road area?My combi boiler stopped working at the weekend, which was pretty surprising as it's only three years old and top of the range. I've finally had the Vaillant engineer over today and he said that there wasn't enough gas coming through to ignite the boiler and that I needed to call my gas supplier as there could potentially be a leak somewhere. So the gas man came over and after dismantling the gas meter he was very surprised to find a large stone wedged in the gas pipe. He thought the meter was a little heavy as if there was stuff inside it that shouldn't be there so he fitted in a new meter. Other than that he couldn't see any other problems and the boiler still isn't working. So I'm back to square one again and the engineer is coming back tomorrow. My main concern is, how did the stone get into the gas pipe? And the only logical reason that I can think of is that when they were doing the road works/gas pipes last year that they may have got some gravel/road into the system and its been making its way through the houses (maybe this is a little far fetched). But I am concerned that perhaps smaller particles have managed to make their way to the back of my house to the boiler and clogged it up.Has anyone else had any problems with their gas/boiler?
