Live in nanny required in Herne Hill from August

Recommended Posts

We are a fun-loving family of four (as well as a small dog, called Trousers!) with two children, a daughter of 6 and a son of 4, who live in Herne Hill.

We are looking for a lively, live-in nanny to start at the end of August.

Key skills we require:

- At least 2 years relevant experience

- A love of food, cooking and eating

- A driver, with a clean licence

- A proven love of nurturing and educating small people

- An active interest in being outdoors, playing games, swimming, playing, jumping on trampolines etc

- Fluency in English

Who you are:

- Someone who wants to get stuck in, be part of a cheerful, upbeat household

- Pro-active and self-motivated, you've got loads of ideas for fun stuff to do

- Super-organised, you love nothing more than organising other people and getting stuff done; you're a 'can-do' sort of person who really thrives in a busy family environment

- You really, REALLY love working with children and are specifically looking for a position that means you'll be working with school-age kids

- You?re someone who's very much looking for a long-term position, rather than a short-term stop-gap

- You love making, collecting, glueing, sticking, drawing, cutting, painting, building and colouring

What we can offer:

- You'll have exclusive use of the top floor of our 3-storey family home, which includes a large double-bedroom (with lovely views of Brockwell Park!) as well as your own bathroom

- Two really loving, affectionate children, who are quick to form attachments and are bright, well-behaved and keen to please

- While the role demands full-time care from Monday to Friday in the school holidays (apart from when we are away as a family), term-time is a lot more flexible with periods of free time during the day.

- Salary is entirely dependent on experience: what matters to us most is that we find the person who's the right fit for our family; it's a lot more about attitude, energy and enthusiasm than it is about having the 'right' qualifications etc.

We are really excited about meeting the person who's going to be such an important part of our lives and would love to hear from you if you think it could be you!

    • Going to be really inconvenient for folk to go that way as has been stated.. why not just move to Camberwell which I would assume is abit nearer and better travelling wise or have vets in both places from Lordship Lane Branch.. Must have been massive flood if going to take two months to dry out, electrical tests to make sure all good… From upstairs? Or where?
    • @selector73 Thanks!  Because we want him to be treated by the vets that know him we will have to get to the New X branch because thats where the team are based until LL reopens. Thank you again 🙏
    • There's 1 in camberwell hope that helps
    • Thank you !  We Will find a way to get him to New X because We owe his life to the vets he sees at Lordship Lane branch and they know him (and us) and we prefer the continuity of care because he's an elderly rescue cat who gets extremely anxious even though he's been needing monthly bloods he just never gets used to going and it can be a lengthy process just getting the sample. Can you tell I'm as anxious about the whole thing as he is??😥
