After-school and holiday nanny wanted from September ? v good hourly rate offered!

Recommended Posts

Hi

We?re a family based in SE21 with 2 primary school aged children who are affectionate, funny, eager to please and full of beans.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable nanny to provide after-school cover 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday) and ideally also some full-day cover during school holidays. Term time hours would be 2pm to 7pm (ie 20 hours per week) with some flexibility for evening babysitting. The role would start in September and would involve:

? coming to our house at 2pm, and then spending an hour or so on food preparation, children?s laundry and tidying/organising etc (ie nanny duties);

? picking the kids up from DVIS and Dulwich Hamlet at 3.20pm and 3.30pm;

? organising and hosting playdates with their friends;

? organising and delivering them to after-school sports clubs etc;

? preparing a nutritious and delicious meal every afternoon ? we are looking for someone who is a good cook;

? helping them with their homework ? we are looking for someone who is really engaged with their education;

? plenty of outdoors time and trips to the park;

? putting on interesting indoors activities on rainy/cooler days ? lots of creative stuff, game playing and baking etc;

? getting the kids bathed, in PJs and teeth brushed, and the house tidy before we come back from work.

Most importantly we want someone kind and patient, who values good manners but genuinely loves children and can provide a nurturing and fun environment for them.

You must be a non-smoker, have excellent verbal and written English, and must have excellent references available on request. It would be helpful if you have a valid UK driving licence and, ideally, your own car (but this is not essential).

We want to attract the highest quality candidates and so are willing to pay up to ?18 per hour (gross) for the right person. Please PM me with your CV and written references if you are interested.

Thank you

    • Miss Robson is the last of the old school independent vets. All the chains are have seriously hiked their prices over the last few years which now makes pet ownership only possible for the wealthy few. Even with pet insurance -( which often excludes items or has ‘deductibles’ ) it is just so much money. A visit with some medication is often £150 - £200. The vets themselves are excellent.
    • Awful. A Google search came up with this, but will he check his office email over Christmas? Maybe worth also contacting local councillor? 'To contact Southern Housing's CEO, Paul Hackett, you can try his direct email, [email protected], or use the general contact email [email protected], as well as calling their main number, 0300 303 1066, for general inquiries or to be directed to the executive level.' Also, from the website: https://www.southernhousing.org.uk/latest-news/2025/contacting-us-over-the-festive-period   'Contacting us about an emergency? If you have an emergency outside of the above times over the festive period, such as severe flooding, an uncontainable leak, gas leak, complete electrical failure or lift breakdown, please call us on 0300 303 1066' I hope it is sorted out soon.
    • Dawson Heights again  2 lifts out of order at ladlands block Christmas Eve so of course the 🛗 will not be repaired tomorrow Christmas Day or Boxing Day or when how do elderly or mothers with children and prams and food and presents get to the floors and with the 10 minutes you get to drop off  to park and not get a Pcn fine and delivery food to relatives who can’t leave their house unbelievable Southern housing does any know email address of Coe of southern housing
    • Sorry but I think it's best if people just check things for themselves when they buy things. In three shops/restaurants (from some years back) I just avoid the places concerned, as in all three  cases I was pretty sure it wasn't a genuine mistake, and in one place  it happened more than once and usually late at night.
