Russell Perring Roofing

I know there have been a lot of recommendations over the years for Russell and his small team, and I would just like to add to that. Russell replaced my roof 3 years ago after doing a lot of repair work on it over time, and I've not had a problem with it since, but after 3 years of not cleaning out my gutters, these had become clogged up with leaves and debris. I was looking for someone to clean the guttering, thinking this might be too small a job for Russell, but I rang him on the off chance and he was very accommodating, fitting me in on a Saturday when I was struggling to find a free day.He finds solutions where others find problems. When the scaffolder said he couldnt get the scaffolding around to the back of my house for the roofing job, Russell asked the man opposite if he could knock down his fence and rebuild it later so we could use his garden! Plus he is a thoroughly nice chap and his prices are very reasonable.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
