I do not think anyone is stupid I used to live on st Francis st (Constance Rd #30,) I attended Dog Kennel Hill Primary school and Dog Kennil Hill is a 1 in 11inch rise any vehicle comming down the hill gain great momentum very difficult to control, going up took a bit as well. The law regarding jaywalking: Whe a pedestrian enters the Zebra crossing either the flashing orange lights upon striped poles cars must stop, if a predestrian enters a zebra crossing when the do not walk sign is lit and there is not any vehicles approaching of course it safe to cross. Pedestrians as a rule of thumb have the right of way because we break and die, cars dent. Stop this blame pushing keep the speed limit as is and act like responsible humans both drive and pedestrian. Be curtios to the weaker and don't say in your mind it is me who has the right of way, bullocks, the pedestrian does. A comment on the name change of Constance Rd it was between 1958 and 1960 when they changed the name. We who lived on the street did have the privilege of meeting and ghosts from the hospital. I live in the states now but do so miss my home. My friends Kathleen and Heather Busby, Susan, Marion, Jeffrey and Jamie,

Carol Stevens and the German Sheppard "Rustus". I left England in my second year attending Kingsdale Secondary School. Oh yeah my name is Philip Campling.

    • We did fine for 300 years with the Royal Mail before the current "competitive" shambles was introduced. Now we have multiple companies with multiple vehicles making deliveries to the same streets every day, none of the workers are employees with decent working conditions or any job security, and consumers have to deal with x different distribution networks and apps and platforms and drop-off points... https://postandparcel.info/12422/news/uk-royal-mails-monopoly-to-end-on-1-january-2006/
    • That's certainly the narrative that runs ad infinitum on the Forum but I wonder how true it is. Speaking for myself I'm very happy M&S, Superdrug, Pret and, in the last century, Sainsbury's arrived and judging from the business they do I'm not alone.
    • There are Christmas lights?! Or a, I missing something?
    • Though it's often the big corporates who dig deepest. For small independents that's a bigger ask, decorating, when they do their own premises is cost enough. And we're normally happy not to have the big corporates in LL.
