Wanted: to borrow, speakers (5 year old bday party)

My son's birthday party is 24 June (i.e. a week tomorrow) and we have no way of playing music at the venue.

Having cleverly sold my old speakers that played brilliantly on the EDF (for a tenner - what was I thinking) I am now trying to see if we can find a kind forumite who might agree to lend us some.

The venue isn't massive, we wouldn't need surround sound, just something to play the dinosaur disco (yes) music and accompany party games via a playlist on iphone or ipad or something..... (the venue doesn't have wifi)

Can return the same day as the party, would prefer to collect before just to ensure that the sound works!

Bottle of wine anyone? Or - indeed - an invite? You'd certainly get a piece of chocolate cake too!

  Wow! Is this the remnants of a wood pigeon? We occasionally see the feathers following a kill but only once have I seen the hawk in the garden and certainly not like your experience.

  I saw this sparrowhawk bring down a pigeon in Upland Rd today, a few houses short of Eric's bakery. Nature red in tooth and claw in East Dulwich!
