wanted: Lovely nanny for 4 days a week

Recommended Posts

We are hoping to find a fantastic nanny who enjoys her job.

Ideally you'd have 4 plus years experience

You'd drive

You'd be ok with a slightly chaotic household (not behaviour, just manic work, busy lives etc)

You;d have a great sense of fun

You'd be happy to be firm but fair when needed

You'd be happy to take control and own the role with confidence.

You'd be sociable and an out and about type. Meeting up with other nannies/ inviting hoards of kids round to ours. (we are up for it all).

You're looking for a long term job.

We have had a fabulous nanny for years in a nanny share but now we are in need of a sole care nanny. If you are interested in looking after a very chatty, kind, calm 4 year old girl (starting school in Sept). And a fun, cuddly one year old who eats as much as his Dad then Please get in touch.

We live in Nunhead, in a house, we'd like to think we'd be nice to work with and understand the fit is as much about you wanting to work with us and vise versa.

Hope to hear from you. Start date flexible.

Hello idealobe!

Your family sounds great! And you've described my dream job! I definitely fit the personality bill and I'm looking to be a sole care nanny. Have a gander at my CV or we could grab a coffee/tea/whichever soft (or hard ;)) beverage you prefer.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

Best,

Steph

    • Labour's latest Rye Lane Ward newsletter is now saying that demolition in the square will start this summer and that the wider station upgrade is expected to be signed off this year - as explained above, sadly wrong on both counts. It describes the renovation of adjacent buildings on Blenheim Grove as "successful", despite having lain empty for a couple of years, longer than the actual renovation works, before saying "the Council is hopeful [it] will see its first new occupants move in to this year". Cue desperate attempt to get at least one in before end of financial year? As for the other topic, in "November 2023, faced with a huge increase in graffiti across the borough, Labour-run Southwark council took action". Nice turn of phrase eh? Rather, after community pressure regarding years of inaction by said Labour-run council, it's finally started to do a little bit, a little late. Surely there would be more chance of resolving issues if our council could for once be part of an honest, informed discussion?

    • Just wanted to recommend Roger from Critter Solutions Pest Control if anyone’s dealing with mice or other unwanted guests. We had a sudden issue with mice in our home's kitchen and after calling around, these guys were by far the most responsive and professional. Roger arrived on time, was really friendly, and took the time to explain what he was doing and why. He did a full inspection and sealed up some access points we hadn’t even noticed. Since his treatment we haven’t seen or heard anything since. What I appreciated most was that it didn’t feel like a rushed job or a hard sell – just honest advice and thorough work. All backed with a guarantee.  Would definitely use them again (hopefully won’t need to!) and thought I’d share in case anyone local is looking.
    • Another recommendation for Jeremiah! He's cleaned our windows for a couple of years now and is always reliable, friendly and does a great job
