Today my mum (who is here visiting me from the coast) lost her purse on Lordship Lane. Little did we know that while we were frantically tracing our steps and cancelling all her cards a lady had picked it up, taken the cards to the bank, who had called to say cards had been handed in and a mobile number left to collect the purse. 3 long hours later she was reunited with her missing purse and faith in humanity was restored. We must of been steps behind each other the whole time as we had both been to all the same places today. Good people still exist! Huge thank you to this woman and her husband!

I'm so pleased that your Mum had her purse returned and that good people still exist in the area! Wherever something likes this happens it is a shock to the system.

My daughters went off to Barcelona on Monday but have already had their purse and other bits stolen on the metro etc. I warned them beforehand but as long they are ok and back at home!!

    • Hi there,  I wanted to give a big shout out to Kushy Move. An idependent letting agent on Bellendon Road. My family have used Kushy's services for more than 20years. He knows the market in this area very well. He has always found us incredible tenants promptly, and has got a fair price. He looks after our tenants and our properties well. He has always given very good advice when assessing our properites.  With so many letting and sales agents in the area (and I have dealt with a lot!), I have always found Kushy to be straight forward and no nonsense.  Highly recommended!
    • From tomorrow, 21st May at midday, Lord Biggar CBE, Regius Professor Emeritus of Moral & Pastoral Theology at Oxford University, talks with Chris Haydon and a small invited audience on PECKHAM PODCAST. This is the Professor who set out to draw up a balanced view of Empire and history but walked into a storm. "OMG, this is serious shit", said one Cambridge academic on hearing of Biggar's plan. Meet the man himself, unless of course you think this Regius Professor Emeritus should be cancelled still.
    • the insult and frustration is that we have no recourse given the council turn a blind eye.
