Shop closed?

I used to live on ED and returned last week after 5 years away. The place still looks fab.

I tried to find a vintage cafe/ice cream shop that used to be tucked away on a side road off Lordship Lane,somewhere near what is now the Lordship pub. It appeared to have vanished. Does anyone know what it was called and what happened to it? I had some lovely times there when my daughter was little. Thanks

Jacks in Pellatt Road?

Opposite The Lordship.

Opened erratic hours so was never likely to thrive.

I miss Jacks (but not its lack of apostrophe) a lot. It felt really "local" and the cakes and other food were good, and it felt welcoming. Wish it would come back (like the original Homemade).

I find that when I don't visit an area for a couple of months it's boom!! A different place, lots of changes. Have to embrace what is present when we Are!
