Helpers needed for Cubs and Scouts on Bellenden Road

Recommended Posts

We are looking for people of all ages to help run our Beaver, Cub and Scout groups on Bellenden Road.

The 3rd Camberwell is a thriving scout group with over 50 children aged 6-14 attending each week, learning a wide range of important life skills.

Due to leaders leaving the area or retiring, we need urgently new leaders in all sections from September.

Don?t worry if you know nothing about scouting or have never worked with children, you will be trained in the skills appropriate to the section that interests you.

Our groups are: Beavers, age 6-8, (Monday 6-7pm); Cubs, 8-10 yrs (Tuesday 6.30-8pm) and Scouts, aged 10-14 (Monday 7.15-8.45pm).

In just 2 hours a week you can have fun, meet new friends and make a difference to young people in the local area.

Please get in touch with us at thirdcamberwell @ hotmail.com to arrange an initial chat or reply to this post if you have any questions.

I have been helping at this group for a few years and they are a very friendly bunch! It's rewarding to see the young people develop new skills, and the camps and outdoor activities are fun too.

The group is popular with a long waiting list, they just could do with a couple more helpers on either monday or tuesday evenings.

    • You've got a point.  Thinking Leyland and Screwfix too but this felt different.
    • Moving into a new place and need both a wardrobe and a chest of drawers, ideally collection Friday. Thanks!
    • Lordship Lane has two dry cleaners, three pizza places and an Italian selling pizza, two burger places, three bakeries, two hardware (ish, I'm thinking AJ Farmer here), God knows how many coffee and charity shops, two Italians, three nail salons, five wine shops... Where was the abject outrage when Dynamic Vines opened up literally next door to Cave de Bruno? But I don't see his customers decamped next door - no, those stalwarts are still out in force every night.  In Roman times all businesses were clustered by product. It's what kept prices down. Same in any market you go to abroad, they're all selling the same things next to each other.  Why is everyone being so hard on this new place? It's called healthy competition - you can't curtail the expansion of your business on the basis you that might hurt someone else's.
    • I have a new fixation so any available, please let me know.  Thanks.
