Guest
If you own a cat in the Colwell Road / Melbourne Grove area, please keep a better watch on it. Three cats, one black, one white, one black and white, constantly hop the fence into my garden, where they proceed to dig up my potted plants and relieve themselves. I just filled three bags with their droppings, and have done the same several times in the past few months. Please, for the sake of decency, be a responsible pet owner and keep an eye on your cats. If the problem continues, I might have to look into ringing animal control, or putting very sharp pointy things on the top of my fence. Thanks. Guest
Perhaps they could do with some "cat nappies". Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/16-east-dulwich-cat-owners/#findComment-60 Share on other sites
Guest
I think the Garden Centre has stuff you can put on your garden to deter cats without harming them. Unfortunately once they've been somewhere they've marked it with their scent and they'll keep coming back. They obviously feel safe in your garden - one other thing you could try is getting a spray bottle from the garden centre and keeping it full of water so that every time you see a cat you can spray it with water. It's an effective but harmless deterrent - unles you use a high pressure hose :) Not foolproof, but better than trying to keep a cat on a lead...Lastly, be thankful that they're out there eating all those mice :) The only troubles I've had with rodents have been when the cats next door moved away (with their owners), so I had to get one of my own.
