I've got a marathon in 11 days and after having some tendonitis in my ankle last week, I've revised my running plan and intend on walking some of the marathon. I was originally planning on running about 5hours 30minutes, but now am keen not to injure myself so I want to include some walking.

Some experts recommend running for a mile, walking for a minute (repeated 26 times)....while others recommend running for longer and walking for longer.

Does anyone have any advice they could offer me? I am not a runner, and am doing the marathon for charity. My only goal is to complete the race without hurting myself!

p.s. Details of my fundraising can be found at www.runforschools.co.uk!

    • This thread should be updated with a new title. "Is Keith Starmer Toast?"    I would say yes. This is as bad as when Boris Johnson ignored Chris Pincher's behaviour. And Starmer piled in very heavily on Johnson for that. If he doesn't resign himself now he is an enormous hypocrite and this will be very damaging  indeed.
    • Yep Peter Mandelson is officially toast.  But what now MUST happen is that the title of Lord and all the privileges which go with that should be removed immediately. It's a long way up the pole but it's an even longer way back down as Mandelson is finding out.
