Coffee set by pottery J&C Meakin from the 1960s/70s for sale. The Aztec pattern is by designer Alan Rodgers and features green and turquoise triangles radiating from a single point in starburst fashion. How cosmic!

The tall slimline shape of the coffee pot makes for an excellent coffee pour. Functional and an object of beauty (IMO). The coffee pots are highly collectable but the Aztec pattern is one of their most classic designs.

The set has one coffee pot, six cups and saucers, one sugar bowl and one milk jug. It's all in good vintage condition. A little grazing is visible on some of the saucers and one has a small chip to the edge.

It would make a great addition to a vintage/midcentury interior. I also have a Cadiz coffee set which I'll upload separately. Buy the two sets and you'd have the starting of a collection!

Collection from Forest Hill (on 185 bus route) Saturday or Sunday mornings or weekday evenings. Thanks.

Caz6868 - they're great aren't they? I can see why people sometimes collect them - they look really good gathered together. If I had more space I might do that myself but that'd be the opposite of what I'm trying to do - clear some room!

i'm holding on to our Denby chevron coffee set though. Got to have one coffee set!

    • That's not a bad idea, though I also want to keep the site as simple and user friendly as possibly. It's ultimately about getting a balance between being informative and being a good read. Stars are useful but I'd like people to read the reviews too.
    • Standard places haven’t got any? Anyone seen any on sale this week? thanks
    • Sue. You really don’t have to keep saying about the electoral system    a) we all know about it b) it doesn’t matter    FPTP is the system we have always had and hopefully we will get rid of it someday but it is what it is    when anyone suggests changing the system Corbyn is right there at the front of the queue to prevent it   so its pointless him or any of supporters complaining about it    the evidence you want is the result of the elections. You can’t have clearer evidence.
    • Has anyone from the school commented? Have they said why? Is it a fresh start? Is it that Grove in the name may have connotations of wealth and they want to attract more applicants from a wider area? Is that it currently is linked to the DKH Estate?
