Nanny available for work asap

Recommended Posts

Hi, my name is Emily Cook I'm 21 years old and have been a nanny for almost 4 years now.

I have my level 3 diploma in children and young peoples work force, I am first aid trained and have looked after children since the age of 16. I first started off baby sitting for a few different families who i still baby sit for to this day, I then moved on to working at a children's group called se23 twins and triplets which is a group for mums and dads who have young twins/triplets under the age of three to come and relax and play and just have some support in general. I then stopped working at the group when i got into college to get my diploma and while doing my course i worked at a nursery in Shirley called Funshine, i really loved working their but unfortunately knew that i wanted some more freedom when it came to looking after children because even though structure and routine are so important, i also believe that there so much a child can learn and experience outside nursery walls, so I decided after my college course i was going to become a nanny.

after being out of college for a month i had my first nannying job in Herne hill with 2 different families, 1 with 2 boys aged 1 and a half and 3 and another little boy from up the road who was 2 and half. It was the perfect first nannying job , the boys even though very energetic were such a delight to look after , but as the children got older , the families no longer needed a nanny so i went on to look for new work.

I then found a lovely family in Nunhead with a 2 year old little girl and a 4 year old little boy and it started as full time but as the parents were having work problems they had to cut me down to 3 days instead of 5. I loved looking after the 2 children so much i decided to stay and find other work along side the 2 children. I ended up finding a lovely little 4 year old girl who went to the same school and lived on the same road , and her parents needed after school pick ups so she then joined my little team. I have been with these 3 kids for 2 and a half years in total and loved every minute of it but of course the children are getting older and don't need me anymore and thats why I'm looking for new work today.

Along side the 3 children i looked after recently i have done odd days with 2 other families as well, both with young 1 year old boys. i never looked after the 2 1 year olds together but did occasionally have 1 of them with the 3 other children.

I am a fun bubbly energetic nanny who loves to be out and about. I know lots of different play groups and i have lots of nanny friends , my mum is even one of them. My mum has been a nanny for 30 years and everything I know and have learnt is from her, I look up to her a lot and can't wait to be a nanny that has the experience she does. Other than my love for children I also have a passion for music, I have played the guitar since I was 16 and I also sing.

I unfortunately don't have my drivers license as of yet but hopefully will be able to get it soon as I'm learning.

If you would like to find out more about me or have a look at my CV please don't hesitate to private message me.

Many Thanks

Emily

    • Hi Sue, they were not local solicitors. Andrea’s was based in Wales and the other firms involved were large nationwide conveyancing companies (rather than conventional high street solicitors). I’m happy to advise clients and buyers privately on what I believe to be their shortcomings but I don’t think doing so in public on the forum would be appropriate, particularly as they are not locally based. My general advice would always be to steer clear of the big conveyancing companies as they are, in my experience, notoriously difficult to contact when the need arises and the case handler is often not a fully qualified solicitor and so issues have to be referred upwards to “technical teams” internally, which was part of the problem in Andrea’s chain. • A slightly vulnerable but hopeful post… Hi everyone, I’m a guy in my mid-thirties who’s recently moved back to London and East Dulwich (I previously lived here for many years before, so I know the area well). But if I’m honest, I’ve found the return a little tough. Most of my close friends have moved out of London to start families — totally understandable — but it’s left me feeling a bit adrift and not quite sure how to make new connections again. Work has taken up a huge chunk of my life in recent years, and I’ve definitely let hobbies, interests and a proper social life fall by the wayside. I feel like I went from a fun social life in my 20’s to suddenly blinking and realising things had gone a bit er…quiet. So, I’m trying to redress the balance a bit — mainly so myself and my partner don’t murder each other 😂, and just to meet some new local faces. I was wondering: is anyone else in a similar boat? And would there be any interest in starting a relaxed, low-key local social group? Could be a casual pub meet, sports, park hangouts, live comedy nights — open to ideas!  I’m happy to do the organising/admin side of things — just wanted to put it out there and see if there’s any appetite. I’ll gauge interest and take it from there.  If you’d prefer not to reply publicly, feel free to drop me a DM.  Cheers all! 👋
