malleymoo
Hi all I was wondering if anyone knew how easy it is to trace on a network if someone has signed on to someone else's e mails a friend just had a couple if very confidential emails printed out by someone else. Can a techno person trace which terminal it was done at,so she can work out who it was ? Obvioulsly she has now changed her password ! ianr
Possibly. She needs to speak to her friendly sysadmin (assuming this happened at work). Though I suppose it could then be escalated into a formal investigation. And there are possibly questions as to what rights she has, if any, to any particular information. Loz
Accessing someone's email without authorisation is a crime under the Computer Misuse Act.
