We're looking for passionate gardeners and growers who would like to turn their passion into a little, local business.

The West Norwood Feast is a new 'people-powered' street market that will take place on the first Sunday of every month from Sunday 3rd April. It's been created by the people who live here along with Space Makers Agency - the social enterprise behind the Brixton Village project.

This market won't just be about exchanging goods for cash, but will also be a place to meet new people, learn new skills and to be entertained. So among our stallholders will be people who sell wonderful things, conduct demonstrations, offer advice and hold workshops. And the whole experience will be enriched with street entertainment and music.

This is why we think the market offers a lovely opportunity for local people to turn their passions into something exciting for the market - there are so many ways to get involved. We're looking for stallholders for all four of our market hubs: Gardeners' Corner, Retro Village, the Food Fair and the Artisans' Market. And we think the gardening market in particular presents exciting opportunities for local people who might have interesting ideas for stalls. Especially since West Norwood has a high number of owner-occupiers with gardens, but very little to cater for them - what could you do?

For example:

- Do you have any spare seeds or plants that you could sell or swap?

- Would you like to create a gardening exchange?

- Do you have lots of gardener friends who might group up with you to create a stall?

- Do you already have a gardening business or stall that you'd like to bring to the market?

- Do you grow vegetables that you'd like to sell?

- Do you make things for the garden?

- Do you have gardening expertise that you'd like to share?

Stalls cost just ?30 for the day, including delivery and all the equipment you'll need.

If you're excited by this opportunity, please contact the local gardening volunteer team at [email protected].

You can find out more about the market at www.westnorwoodfeast.com, at our Facebook page or Twitter feed.

We even have a

    • Going to be really inconvenient for folk to go that way as has been stated.. why not just move to Camberwell which I would assume is abit nearer and better travelling wise or have vets in both places from Lordship Lane Branch.. Must have been massive flood if going to take two months to dry out, electrical tests to make sure all good… From upstairs? Or where?
    • @selector73 Thanks!  Because we want him to be treated by the vets that know him we will have to get to the New X branch because thats where the team are based until LL reopens. Thank you again 🙏
    • There's 1 in camberwell hope that helps
    • Thank you !  We Will find a way to get him to New X because We owe his life to the vets he sees at Lordship Lane branch and they know him (and us) and we prefer the continuity of care because he's an elderly rescue cat who gets extremely anxious even though he's been needing monthly bloods he just never gets used to going and it can be a lengthy process just getting the sample. Can you tell I'm as anxious about the whole thing as he is??😥
