Vintage medicine box

I think it's more likely to be a box for fruit juices or other soft drinks[*]. In at least the early 1950s they were selling, under the Britvic brand -- non-alcoholic tomato juice cocktails, in nine exciting varieties, and orange, pineapple and grapefruit juices fortified with vitamin C, from a factory in Chelmsford. These were advertised retail at a shilling (5p) for a 4oz (fifth of a pint) bottle. The boxes most probably would have been for delivery and re-use. The 3 shillings stamped on this one would I suspect have been a returnable deposit: https://img0.etsystatic.com/153/1/9798227/il_340x270.1199597144_20mz.jpg. The earliest ad of theirs that I've found is this wartime one from 1941.

[*] Or maybe the vitamins themselves. See second attachment.
