Hello there

This is a complete off-chance, a call of desperation: this morning my 3 year old daughter lost her beloved soft toy dog on a trip up to Sydenham Wells Park. She is absolutely heartbroken (as am I!) - as it's her loved companion. In spite of a big return search he has failed to turn up, and we've had a terrible time trying to get her to go to bed without him.

We don't have a duplicate dog - stupidly I know - she was given this dog at birth and the big-attachment came much later. He came originally from Sainsburys DKHill in late 2007, and was only about ?4.

This is the big question - does anyone out there have the same Sainsburys soft toy dog sitting around in a toy box or shelf somewhere that they don't now need - and could pass on? Possibly a very tall-order, but we thought it might be worth a try...

I've attached two really small pictures - which aren't great, but might help.

Many thanks x

I have just seen this very creature for sale in the window of krystal chemists in nunhead lane. as soon as i saw it i remembered your post. SO if you didnt manage to get a replacement/find the original, there is one in the right hand window as you look in towards the bottom . there's a lot of stuff there so hope you find it.

    • Not sure about that - I'm personally not too bothered by the noise, despite living possibly the closest to the site. I am bothered by the impact on all the wildlife, as should hopefully everyone with a conscience and who care about their community?
    • Their coffee and food is delicious. Really nicely decorated cafe with a nice vibe and a great selection of books too. The owner and staff are all very friendly and happy to chat when preparing your order.
    • The venn diagram of people who are personally really bothered by the noise from GALA and are also deeply concerned about the local bat population looks remarkably just like a circle.
    • Language is a fluid and evolving thing and as it changes the original meaning of words can alter to take on a new true meaning or meanings. Original meaning is not the same as true meaning. Take the word literal which is now used to mean the very opposite of how the word used to be used, irritating for some of us but demonstrates the English language is vibrant and alive and also very subjective. But I must go and make myself a cup of tea now or I will literally die of thirst
