Bought in error. Opened the bags to the fittings. Not fitted (the pipework is too close), not used, with box. Going for a ?100 so will sell for ?50. Would rather sell it local so that buyer can inspect rather than on e-bay. All details on the attached: https://www.plumbworld.co.uk/mira-coda-thermostatic-bar-19532-17766

So bar shower as said, sits on top of the tiles as shown on the link above. Complete with head, riser etc.

Adjustable centre (ie distance between inlet pipes) - this is where I got it wrong as my centre is too narrow. Again the above link says it all.

Some more details - this is not an electric shower it is a mixer that takes from the existing hot and cold water pipes.

Separate hot and cold water pipes must be fitted (that is pretty obvious!)

It will work with traditional (hot and cold tanks) and combi (instantaneous) hot water systems

For trad systems it you need to have a high enough head (ie height of cold water tank) for the flow or use a pumped system

Doing all this is not a simple DIY job (although one I am capable of!). If you aleady have a mixer then it will be pretty straightforward as all you are doing is attaching it.

Anyway I'll give it another day before putting on e bay. Thanks

    • I think a lot depends on how you will deal with school drop offs and pickups in primary school. If you’re going to have a nanny to do that then great, but if you’ll be doing that yourself you’ll need to factor the home -> school -> station timings. Our son went state (Belham and Charter East) which with wrap around care made the timings manageable. I don’t know if the private primaries have busses, so maybe it’s not so bad… Commute wise it depends where in the city you work. Thameslink is great if you’re near St Paul’s or Farringdon. Southern to London Bridge and then tube or bus (though I hate changing to the Northern Line at rush hour at LB). Or even for some places Windrush to Lizzie line, district line or walk (when I go to Bishopsgate I tend to walk from Shoreditch High St).    Choosing  a station with options helps with any transport disruption so Herne Hill of the places you listed. If you’re looking further afield, towards Denmark Hill has good connections and you can walk/cycle down Greendale to get to Alleyn’s or JAGs. You might also consider some of the streets near Warwick Gardens on the Peckham side, the Villa is a well regarded pre-prep and Peckham Rye station is well connected.  Good luck.
