A guy that had been previously barred (unknown to Bar staff) was holding his Birthday celebration with a large group of friends.

He was asked to leave. The situation got heated with his friends. The Police were called to deal with the situation.

Could not of been me.

1. I was not there.

2. It was not my Birthday.

3. I don't have any friends.

Foxy

Aww Fox! Is trouble becoming more prevalent in the EDT? Only ask as I was having a pint in another local establishment this evening and while I was at the bar they took a call saying a group of ne'erdowells had been ejected from the EDT and watch out if they were coming that way...

I was in the EDT last night. 8.45 - 10-30ish no one ejected during that time, that I was aware of.

Having said that, the EDT was Rammed last night and there was an air of unease.

Very rowdy, loud. Someone else commented 'we are getting all the idiots from The ******* in here recently.'

It was getting even busier as I was leaving.

Foxy.

ETA. Worth remembering it is the end of the month (last Friday) and many people would of just been paid.

Everywhere on L.L was busy last night including on the street.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
