If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask :))

Gosh, you could be talking about my 10 year old! Has he tried Tai Kwon Do? I think there is an afternoon class at Dulwich Baths. We are also fortunate to have a place at Stax Music Centre (via Southwark Council) where he is learning drumming (not sure he would have done it if it was a wind or string instrument).

Sorry I can't suggest anything but if you find a Sat afternoon animation club - let me know!

You could look at Camberwell Choir School - it's not a choir, it's not a school but it is in Camberwell: St Giles Church Hall in St Giles Road. It's a community music project with lots of diffent musical activities, singing, drumming, teaching of other instruments. It's a very friendly place - my eldest went there as a toddler, then in junior school and beyond, and now volunteers there.

    • DKH was two form entry, it is now one form entry to cope with the fact it was far more under subscribed than other schools in the area. They had actually combined year groups into single classes, 3/4 and 5/6.  When a school changes name, it’s usually because of a bad reputation perhaps the results.  The new name is dry with no history unlike its current name. It’s a very sketchy decision. It’s an expensive vanity project for someone.  What  will happen if the name change does not increase applications to the school?
    • @first mate I assume Alice made a mistake, as she removed her reaction.  I was wondering about park wardens. As I said, there was one there last night, who was incredibly helpful and proactive. As well as bringing me to the police, he caught up with a young guy on a bike who'd earlier been the victim of an attempted theft by these kids and linked him up with the police too. But I do wonder, as I've only very occasionally seen him riding around, how many they have and what hours they patrol. I've no doubt they'd be a strong deterrent if they had a better presence. They were nowhere to be seen the first time around.  Update: I've just found this: https://services.southwark.gov.uk/community-safety/community-wardens The guy in the photo at the bottom of the page was the lovely warden of last night and I've just now remembered him telling me he's based in Burgess Park. Anyway, there needs to be more of them, as I rarely see one in Peckham.
    • Some of us oldies would associate Grove with the old Grove Vale School (which I went to in the 1950s)
