Where can I donate foreign coins locally for charity?

I've just found a bag full of foreign coins - some still legal tender and others probably only worth their scrap value - does anyone know if any of the banks or PO accept them for charity?

Hopefully this will encourage everyone else with a few coins lurking around after summer holidays to pass them on too.
