Electrician - DO NOT USE RICHARD MITCHELL

Hi all,

Short note to warn people NOT to use Richard Mitchell the electrician who operates in our local area.

We naively paid ?150 up front for materials - on receipt of payment he has repeatedly cancelled appointments and avoided contact over the course of the last month.

We have since appointed a more honest, reliable electrician, and my only recompense is to warn others off this fraudulent, dishonest individual.

I await my refund which I'm sure will not materialise - don't make the same mistake.

Paul.

P.S. I have since found similar negative reviews concerning this individual on this forum - my error for not reviewing his reputation thoroughly enough.

I don't know about the "P.S. I have since...", given that your post here is unedited. And you've already posted there: http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1635442,1636016#msg-1636016. Why this additional thread?

    • You have to use the right extinguisher for the type of fire - water/foam not to be used for live electrical fires for example. A quick Google says powder extinguishers can be used on the most different types of fire. In a public/commercial setting fire extinguishers have to be serviced every year. Not sure the recommendation for residential ones, but when you buy extinguishers and fire blankets check if there's an expiry date.
    • Thanks, yes I need the y piece for the water to go to IN both washing machine AND the dishwasher but the y piece doesn’t fit on the B yellow pipe…  I’m not worried about the waste pipe for now, I’m just concerned about the supply to get water in to both appliances
    • Not sure about the word “input” - do you mean outflow / waste ? Red figure A looks like the sink overflow. If B is the washing machine outflow then that’s where you want your Y fitting. ( assuming all above conjecture is correct). I’d put a cap on that chrome threaded dead connection too. Don’t just rely on the valve. It all looks a bit of a mess TBH 🫣.
