Eggs

Does anyone know why we get chicken eggs in our garden? On one occasion there was an egg hidden in some sand at the bottom of our garden and it had not been broken.

My SIL found an egg in a flower bed and also wants to know!

Agree with PGC, probably foxes. We used to keep chickens and the eggs always used to wonder off into the veggie patch etc. There was one fox that loved to hang round the enclosure every night. Until one day he killed them all. Then he couldn't find anymore eggs to hide.

I know some of our neighbours a few houses up from us had chickens about 2-3 years ago. But this particular incident of a broken egg shell is more recent. Does anyone else in the vicinity of Dulwich Park, Eynella Road and Lordship Lane have chickens? Have they been bugged by foxes?
