My brother used to be the man behind the London Triathlon, Run to the Beat and other such events. He has just branched out on his own and has just launched his first event - Cycletta - along with Victoria Pendleton. It's a woman's only bike ride over 40km on traffic free roads - the southern event is at Whipsnade Park in September.

They are trying to get anyone involved - from experienced cyclists who want to do a bit of a time trial on traffic free roads, to commuters to total beginners riding bikes with baskets on the front - it's not very hilly and will be a great family event with lots on for children etc.

I'm taking part and just wanted to spread the word
