The agricultural drainage ditch that some people, including Ordnance Survey in recent years, now call the Peck was significantly modified to provide features for Peckham Rye Park.

I'd like some help in finding out more about the Waterfalls to form part of a prospective 2019 publication.

So far I've only located three photographs, all from postcards.

Does anyone know the location of any photographs?

I would particulary like to find a photograph looking downsteam.

Does anyone have any information about the mechanics of controlling the waterflow?

Is there any surviving evidence of the planting of non-native waterside plants?

John, the attached 1894 snippet may be of interest. I've got the full article, which goes into the history as well, and several others of the period about the Rye and Park. There is an 1894 LCC pamphlet in the LMA catalogue, though it's said to be not in a fit condition for public access. But some plans for the development are viewable.

    • Hi all My car was stolen between 1.30pm-1.50pm today in SE22 East Dulwich in South East London. I have of course reported this to the police but not much is being done, so I thought I'd give this a shot. The registration is GM66YOV, though its possible the licence plate may have been changed by now. If you see it anywhere please contact me or the police. Thankyou!
    • Years ago, got my ears pierced, alcohol on site, gun ..done.. Simple.. Gosh, surely your daughter of mothers can recommend  - do you really need to post on forum? Or maybe you home school whatever.. still recovering from shock, posted along the lines of, advice needed about adopting/ buying a dog…. Guess I am now at a age, where I should just keep quiet and pass no comment and read  postings like a “soap” - cheaper than tv licence…

    • I would'nt go locally I'd go to Maria Tash in Liberty..it'll be more expensive but they will do a good job and its their buisness not a 'sideline' to other beauty offerings. https://www.mariatash.com/store-locations/maria-tash-london-liberty?srsltid=AfmBOoqMz7Ev-4YqzrlkePX0n3i5JbiggGYSR9kU5z1p_ajP_jjQKqlt I have no experience of piercing at Polished but I went in to enquire about a manicure and I found the staff attitude pretty rude, looking me up and down when I walked in and just giving off a bad attitude like they just could'nt be bothered maybe because I'm not a glam 30 something? I dont know.
