My son is in Y7 at Kingsdale so I really can't give an opinion but what the sixth form is like, but my son thought there may be a university hidden somewhere in the school as there are all these young adults there every day! Once I explained they are also students at the school he had to revise his opinion of teenagers - he thought all teenagerss were gun and knife wielding thugs! Certainly from what I've heard as a neurotic parent it seems the sixth formers take their ambassadorial role seriously and are keen to do well. I would think the management of the school will also be keen to have a successful sixth form.

    • They’ve backed away from pretending they produce their own goods recently. That claim sat at the centre of the misdirection for years. They’ve now accepted they can’t sustain it, so they’re beginning to highlight the local independent bakeries whose products they actually sell. The business is essentially a courier model running on a slim margin.
    • Another sparrow hawk visor to our cherry tree at the weekend.  Our robin survived, but we may be a sparrow down.     any thoughts on bird feeders & bird baths with the current bird flu?  I try to wash out the bird bath most days when at home, but not on the 3 days in a row that I’m in the office & the bird feeders rather less regularly. Would it be better not to have at all (as my partner thinks)?
    • OOOPS. My daughter just had to pay a five pound fine. I hadn't put a stamp on it. I remember wondering whether to use a  first or second class stamp,  and clearly when I posted it I still hadn't decided (but sadly didn't notice). I feel really bad for suspecting a postie might have  opened it.  Sorry posties.
