Dr Bike and his bike nurses will be under Peckham Arch from 5.30-7.30pm. He will be welcoming all comers with his vast bike-related knowledge, love of hard-work and his team of helpers, meeters and greeters. He will be under Peckham Arch from 5.30-7.30pm on Thursday(September 21st). The Arch is the big arch-shaped structure at the north end of Rye Lane (one end is propped up on the Kentish Drovers).

The team tighten brakes, index gears and mend tyres as a matter of course. Rumour has it that they might have a few spare parts (like brake cables) (maybe). For anything much bigger they offer wise advice which is helpful if you need to head off and pay a bike mechanic.

We are Southwark Cyclists, the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign. Everything we do is free -- there are no residence requirements and everyone is welcome. • Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools.  This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected] or 020 8613 6500 and we'll be really happy to help.
    • One wonders if he would have defected if he had, ahem, held on to the leadership of Southwark and whether he felt that "Labour are no longer the vehicle for social justice" during his leadership election........my how quickly things change in the thoughts of a politician 😉 I think this sums things up quite nicely: A senior Southwark Labour spokesperson hit back: “Local residents can draw their own conclusions about Cllr McAsh’s swift move from Labour leadership hopeful to the Green Party, after he didn’t get his own way. While he’s thinking about his own career, Southwark Labour are delivering for residents.” One wonders if he will stand as a Green candidate in Goose Green.
    • No doubt if he determines to stand for a ward he will enlighten us - at least his track record is one of using this site to communicate (inter alia). I would suspect that (1) his personal views on traffic will have remained consistent but that (2) his views on local democracy and proper consultation will have as well.
    • Yes, but I want to know where he stands on all this stuff now. My feeling is it won't be any different from Labour?
