Hello, we are a very busy family of four (children are 5 and 2) and are looking for a cleaner/housekeeper to help us keep our house clean and tidy. Ideally we would like somebody to come to our house for two hours each day Monday ? Friday, so 10 hours/week in total. We are flexible regarding the time, but hours would need to be between 9 and 5:30 on Mon ? Thurs, and 9 and 3 on Friday.

Dad is currently working from home so might be around on some days. Duties would include general tidying up, laundry, changing bedding, filling and emptying the dishwasher, cleaning of tables/kitchen surfaces, and regular cleaning of all floors/bathrooms/kitchen etc. We are looking for somebody pro-active, who can spot what needs to be done. We are near North Dulwich station.

Good English and checkable references, ideally from the local area, are required. If this sounds of interest, please send a PM with your experience and pay expectations. Many thanks!

Hello Lynne,

I'm interested in your post but currently work full time on a Monday and Tuesday, I was wondering if you

would consider me working 2 hours on a Wednesday then four on a Thursday and four on a Friday? or could do

three hours two days and then four on one.

I work as a housekeeper for other families in the area and I am reliable and trustworthy. I charge ?12 per hour.

Carol

    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
    • Could East Dulwich or Forest Hill work? Some properties on Underhill Road and Wood Vale have large gardens e.g.  https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/161079866#/?channel=RES_BUY  You'd be close to the Horniman, Dulwich Park and Peckham Rye. Transport might not be what you're looking for though e.g. a 15 minute walk to Forest Hill station for the East London line or mainline into London Bridge.
    • I would leave London, or at a push move back to north London. In SE London if you want to get away in a car you are trapped, always an hour to go the first 10 miles, chugging up to the M4 or round the south circular, which is really just a line someone drew connecting a load of roads. and I know there are trains but first you have to get to those mainline stations, unless you only want to leave London to go to Kent. which I don't.
    • It was you who  made it personal in the first place,  Jazzer. You said you didn't feel safe in the streets,  and you said you didn't go to Central London because you didn't feel safe there. So are you now saying that wasn't "personal"? "Fire from the hip." Another interesting choice of words 🙄 I'm not "demanding" anything! I asked you some perfectly reasonable questions in  response to your own statements. None of which you have answered. Never mind. It seems to be pointless having a discussion with you. It's long past my bedtime. I'm going to turn on my sleep app  and go to sleep 😴💤
