I am a Certified Lactation Consultant offering Antenatal Hand expressing sessions amongst other breastfeeding related services.

I am based in London offering support and breastfeeding workshops to expectant and new mothers in the comfort of their homes.

The Hand Expressing session last 20-30mins and is available from 38 weeks when you are officially considered full term.

This session may be helpful for:

*Expectant mothers with planned c-section or induction

*Mothers who struggled within the 1st few days with previous children

*Mothers who want to develop skills and boost confidence in breastfeeding and expressing

*Giving a temporary, alternative option to help feed your baby if you are unable to breastfeed or been advised to top up with expressed breastmilk. (Before milk has come in)

During this session you will:

*Learn to hand express some colostrum.

*Discuss more about why it may be beneficial to you to learn this technique.

*Receive 4 syringes

*Receive Handouts

Cost: ?40

*Please be aware that all sessions are designed to teach helpful breastfeeding methods. However, every mothers body and breastfeeding journey is different and therefore the quantity of colostrum expressed will vary from person to person. Nonetheless, the techniques discussed will still be extremely beneficial to learn.

    • It wasn't an antique and bric-a-bac shop but an antique market with a number of different traders, the cafe supported all the dealers in bringing in custom, and was good enough to generate trade for them. It was Rodney Franklin's and his partners enterprise, he previously had an antique shop in Queenstown Road in Battersea. His late wife ran the cafe (she was a very fine actress, it was a 'resting' job).  It was on the corner of a junction on the left as you head towards Camberwell. And almost opposite, if memory serves at all, an MFI style furniture outlet.
    • i used to go there in the late 80's and '90s (?) the food was served cafeteria style and there was limited choice, but what there was alays tasted amazing!  The garden was an absolute paradise, you could sit in it to lunch in the summer!  i've tried to locate its site but Walworth Road has changed so much since then - does anyone remember the house number?
    • This is very true. For some people, not even just the elderly, their pet/s may be their most important companion.
