ccosgrove
Hi allMy parents want to visit but my dad is in a wheelchair and our house is not accessible in any way. We were wondering if anyone knew of accessible accommodation in the SE22 area or nearby, or had any advice on where to look for this sort of thing? It's a new area for us as he's not been using the wheelchair all that long.Any thoughts or advice would be hugely appreciated.ThanksColin Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/16935-advice-on-accessible-accommodation/ Share on other sites
Pugwash
When you say your house is not accessible in any way - how do you mean? Long flight of steps to the front door?No downstairs loo? Some people use a wheelchair because they cannot walk very far - my mother did but we managed to get her walking up and down a few steps into the house and into the loo - took 2 of us and she was very slow.Or are you looking at overnight accommodation? Places like Premier Inn and Travel Lodge usually have a disabled suite/rooms - I think the nearest Inn is around Tower Bridge.
